Song of Peace was composed for the BBC's Choirboy of the Year 2003 by Darren Bartlett.

Eleven-year-old James, a chorister from the Llandaff Cathedral School, Cardiff, is a junior member of The Salvation Army. He won the prestigious title in October of 2002 which included £1,000 for himself and £500 for his school.

He was named the 2002 BBC Radio 2 Choirboy of the Year and released a Christmas CD single entitled Song of Peace. The song was specially written for him by Salvation Army composer Darren Bartlett. He already has several television and radio appearances lined up including an appearance on BBC Songs of Praise.

James was a guest soloist at the Royal Albert Hall in December 2002 for The Wonder of Christmas, The Salvation Army’s annual carol concert.
